Samus Aran is the main protagonist of the Metroid franchise, also one of the eight protagonists of the Subspace Emissary. She is a bounty hunter hired by the Galactic Federation to defeat an evil race of criminals called Space Pirates.
Vote which fictional character would naturally fit in-universe with a big-named franchise! No time-travel, no interdimensional crap, no "Pooh's Adventures", they would just exist in-universe.
