Melman is one of the two tritagonists (Alongside Gloria) in the DreamWorks' Madagascar franchise. He is a giraffe, who is somewhat of a hypochondriac, having doses of medicine for meals and doctor's appointments frequently who formerly lived in the Central Park Zoo in New York City.
