If I Be Known Dead
By Sep
Based on a true story, IF I BE KNOWN DEAD follows Ada Blackjack, a young Iñupiat woman who joins a doomed Arctic expedition in a desperate attempt to earn money for her sick son. Stranded on the remote and unforgiving Wrangel Island, Ada finds herself trapped among ambition, hunger, fear, and the slow collapse of the men around her. As the ice closes in and hope vanishes, she must transform from an unprepared outsider into the last line between life and death. In a land built to erase the weak, Ada’s fight to survive becomes a haunting story of endurance, grief, and an unbreakable will to return home.
