The webcomic story is like if "Resident Evil" focused more on family than science. In the future, a virus causes those exposed to it to turn into monstrous flesh-eating mutants. Some become simple minded and walk around willy-nilly and attack anything that bleeds, while others become smarter and devise strategies to catch their prey. The hero of the story is a young woman who mutated into a monster while she was in labor. But a mother's love for her child caused her to retain her sanity. Now, seven years later, the Monster Mom vows to keep her fully-human daughter, Chuk-Bok, protected at all costs from any threat possible, from monsters to mad survivors, to mad scientists. But she's not alone in raising her kid. She has a new husband, an expendable survivor named Gomdol, and Hee-Ra, an expendable woman whom Chuk-Bok has been visiting while her parents are out. Later on, a scientist believes that the child might be the key to creating a cure. It's not so easy for the Mom, who can only eat flesh and blood (by killing other monsters), and she's haunted by strange voices in her head.
