Even before her Games Wiress was a fairly neurotic and unusual girl who nonetheless displayed great intelligence; such as spotting electrical problems and making improvements. In the Games, her mentor Beetee made a good case for her survival as a 'little scrapper' and Wiress managed to overpower the boys from Districts 2 and 6 as well as killing a couple of others through flooding. Following these Games, though still nervous and now with a level of PTSD, Wiress joined the rebellion and became an important figure in it. As of the 3rd Quarter Quell she is still alive age 39.
