In her time Elena was an extremely popular victor, as nature would have it; she was a star of the Hunger Games' first big love story. Raised in District 10 watching the split between the largely rich Caucasian 'Settler' and the poorer class 'Anasazi' Hispanics, Elena gradually fell in love with Settler boy Danny Hooley.
