Berenice was an underdog victor by Career standards; she was small and light for her 18 years but extremely skilled with knives and mentally tough as well. Her arena was a toxic wasteland where she made five kills; the boys from Districts 6 and 11 at the bloodbaths, followed by the girl from District 4 in the Career split then the girl from District 3 and boy from District 9. Her final opponent, the boy from 1, was eaten by a swarm of piranhas and hence she became Victor by default. Though not overwhelmingly popular she became close to her mentor Ares Valyrio and fellow victors Lupus Pagano and Antigone Frey. As of the 3rd Quarter Quell she is still alive age 25.
