Known as something of a ladies' man, Ares was a highly popular victor, helped by the long-standing popularity of his mentor, Honorius Manchetti. Launched into a beautiful arena of mountains and waterfalls, he proved highly capable with a training score of 10 and a high kill tally; the boys from District 1, 3, 6 and 7, the girls from Districts 2 [in the finale], 3, 4 and 10. Ares had a trademark eyepath due to losing an eye in the arena; he went on to marry [one of only a small number of victors to have children] and is still alive as of the 3rd Quarter Quell, aged 52.
