Betty Ross was caught in the crossfire almost dying but Hulk managed to save her. She was critically injured though and this sent Hulk into a rage unlike anyone had seen before. Samson managed to calm Bruce down and he sent Betty to hospital. Bruce developed another personality known as Joe Fixit a tough as nails gangster. Bruce and Joe decided they needed to work together to kill Ross for good.
