We start off where we left off in the first movie, Bowser is still shrunk down thanks to Princess Peach feeding him a Mini Mushroom back when he was defeated by Mario and the gang, and still resides in a cell in Peach's Castle, still guarded by the same blue Toad from that scene, and along with him, a bunch of other Toads, we then leave the castle, as we now zoom in to a young Koopa child below the age of 5-7 years old, along with a accomplice of his father's, and a bunch of Koopas, who want to free the king from his prison, but, there is one problem... Thousands and thousands of Toads are in there, so, the young Koopa tells his troops that he has a plan to free his father, as he tells his wizard accomplice to turn him into the plumber that defeated his father, but Kamek tells the child that might be one of the riskiest ideas that he has ever had, but, the kid shouts at him, and tells him to turn him into the poopy plumber or he is fired, as Kamek begrudgingly turns him into Mario, but, due to side effects, he has a translucent light blue look, and Kamek tries to tell him that he couldn't find a right spell to make look more like the plumber, so, he tried multiple spells, but, none of them worked, so, he is stuck with that one, and tells the boy that he has to hurry to free his father before anyone notices, as he, Kamek, and a couple of Koopa Troopas enter the castle, and start attacking a bunch of Toads, as music from Super Mario 3D World plays in the background, as the Koopas fight the Toad Army, but, when they are about to face Peach, the princess mistakes him for Mario, and tells him to stop the Koopas from invading the castle, but, unbeknownst to the princess, he orders Kamek to shrink the Princess down to miniscule size, as revenge for what she did to his father, and with a zap of his magic, she shrinks down to the size of an ant, as Bowser Junior reveals himself to the Princess, with the Princess' last words being... MARIO!!! Cue the movie's logo.
