A yakuza acquaintance of Masaki. Apparently, he used to be Masaki's senior. He often appears at Masaki's part-time job workplace with stories about the underworld, but Masaki somewhat disliked him. He even show a side of trying to draw Masaki into joining the yakuza, though Masaki says that he's not interested. When Yuu goes on a rampage on the streets, Shimoyama goes to Masaki and tells him to stop Yuu before the yakuza have to intervene, and are more than happy to let Yuu go with only Masaki's fake beating as long as Yuu doesn't go after the yakuza's pushers again.
