A dropout student from Sawa High. A dangerous individual who is also a drug addict. Although he was recently released from juvenile detention and has no martial arts experience, he holds the belief that 'a delinquent can't possibly lose to a martial artist,' and boasts considerable strength with his physique and seasoned fighting skills. Although he was no match for martial artists in pure fistfighting, he was skilled at exploiting opponents' openings and using weapons on the street. He is the mastermind behind the incident where Shin, who was connected to Yuu, was lynched and hospitalized, and even defeated Shogo, who came for revenge. This event causes Yuu to go on a revenge spree to make Kato pay for what he done to his friends.
