Veronica McTavish is a 14 year old hockey player who lives in small town Rivendell, Saskatchewan. In Rivendell, hockey is for boys, not girls. In Rivendell, girls do dance, guys do hockey. But Veronica feels she is meant to be a hockey player, and at age 10 quits the dance team for hockey.
There is no girl team near Rivendell, so Veronica must train herself for hockey on her own. She then has to overcome obstacles so she can play with the boys in the Regional competition. But it isnt easy.
Ewan Dell, the captain is determined to make her life terrible when on the team. And everyone else is quite mean too. The only boy nice to her is Colter (Cole) Kimmel. And she slowly falls for him.
But her BFF Jacinta Williks has a massive crush on Cole and their relationship will tense. And drama happens as Veronica's older brother Samuel is on the team and is jealous of Veri.
Will Veronica be able to save her relationships with her family and friends and Cole? And will the Rivendell Tigers be able to win regionals?
