First appeared in Silver Surfer #53 in 1991 and was created by Ron Marz and Ron Lim. Dar-Benn was a general of the Kree Empire who utilized an android Silver Surfer in killing their ruler Clumsy Foulup. During Operation Galactic Storm, he and his fellow general Ael-Dann were joint emperors of the Kree Empire.
