Sam Rockwell (born November 5, 1968) is an American actor. He is known for playing distressed police officer Jason Dixon in Martin McDonagh's crime drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The following year, he was nominated in the same category for portraying in Adam McKay's political satire Vice (2018). In 2019, he portrayed Bob Fosse in the FX biographical miniseries Fosse/Verdon, earning a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award, and in 2022, he received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in the Broadway revival of David Mamet's American Buffalo. You know that whole "overpopulation crisis" deal? So...the reason behind this is a helluva funny story. The series follows the employees of I.M.P. (Immediate Murder Professionals), an imp-run assassination company in Hell, on their many different jobs. The members of I.M.P. include Blitzø (pronounced "Blitz"), the founder and manager of the business, along with firearms/weapons specialist Moxxie, cute but psycho powerhouse Millie, and snarky receptionist hellhound Loona. With the help of an ancient book obtained from Stolas, a Goetial demon of Hell, they access the human world to complete their tasks on order from the demons in Hell while also trying to keep their business afloat...without killing each other first.
