He is a strong and charismatic survivor who often acts as a leader. Tyreese is Carol's ex-boyfriend, and Michonne Hawthorne's boyfriend. Following the death of Shane, Tyreese fills the role of Rick's right-hand man, ally, and a good friend. He later became a member of the Prison Committee along with Rick, Hershel, and Dale. During the attack on the prison, he was captured and killed by Brian Blake in front of Rick's group.
