Emily Olivia Laura Blunt (born 23 February 1983) is a British actress. She has received several accolades, including a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, in addition to nominations for an Academy Award and four British Academy Film Awards. Forbes ranked her as one of the highest-paid actresses in the world in 2020. Blunt made her acting debut in the 2001 drama production of The Royal Family and portrayed Catherine Howard in the television miniseries Henry VIII (2003). She made her feature film debut in the drama My Summer of Love (2004). Blunt's breakthrough came in 2006 with her starring roles in the television film Gideon's Daughter and the comedy-drama The Devil Wears Prada. The former won her a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. The movie opens as Clint Barton slowly gets up and walks over to the kitchen to make breakfast. Just then an arrow is shot through the window and hits Clint in the shoulder. A man in a black cloak comes through the window and grabs Clint. Kate comes rushing through the door after hearing the noise from her apartment downstairs. Kate tries to fight the man but he knocks her back and stabs Clint in the eye with his dagger. Clint manages to reach the arrow in the wall and stabs the man in the chest. The man takes off his cloak revealing himself to be Taskmaster. Clint looks over to see Kate being held at gunpoint by the Ronin aka Natasha Romanoff. Natasha tells Clint that she just couldn't keep pretending like she is still the Avenger everyone is telling her she is. Clint knocks Taskmaster down but before he can save Kate Natasha kills her. Clint jumps out the window and runs. Throughout the movie Clint stays on the run while Taskmaster and Natasha try to find him after being hired by an anonymous source. Clint ends up working with people like Daredevil and Scott Lang until eventually Taskmaster and Natasha find him and try to put an end to him. Just then Yelena Belova shows up after Clint called her hours earlier. Clint and Yelena manage to take them down but just then a man in the Swordsman's armor shows up claiming to be the son of the first Swordsman and the employer of Taskmaster and Natasha.
