Jennifer Kent (born 5 March 1969) is an Australian writer-director best known for her supernatural horror film "The Babadook" (2014) and her period revenge thriller "The Nightingale" (2018). Kent graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1991 with a degree in Performing Arts.
A young woman wakes up in the dungeon of a castle after being involved in a car accident. With the help of a White Shepherd, Hewie, she begins to explore the castle to escape and unravel the mysteries of it and its inhabitants.
