These actors are age accurate to the books and considered based on acting ability to pull off character and appearance with the help of makeup. With the exception of Dumbledore who cannot be cast based on age as there are no actors over 100 AND this is a 10 year project so casting someone over 70 limits who will be able to finish the project.
