Lord Voldemort's uncle, the son of Marvolo and the brother of Merope. He was a pure-blood supremacist like his father and enjoyed attacking Muggles. One of his targets was Tom Riddle Sr., whom he knew his sister to be infatuated with, which got the attention of the Ministry of Magic. Alongside his father, he was imprisoned in Azkaban for assaulting Ministry officials and upon his release he continued living in squalor. He was later imprisoned for life for the murder of the Riddle family, which he confessed to due to his nephew (the real killer) placing a false memory in his mind.
