Character Description

A former headmaster of Hogwarts who now occupies a portrait in the Head office. He appears to be hard of hearing, as he carries an ear trumpet. He is a believer in honour and duty, criticising Phineas Nigellus Black for being unhelpful to Albus Dumbledore, as well as the Ministry of Magic for making deals with petty criminals. He is an ancestor of Florean Fortescue, who runs Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour in Diagon Alley.
