The Hogwarts caretaker. An extremely irritable man, he hates the students and is constantly seeking reasons to punish them, wishing he could do so in cruel and unusual ways that have been outlawed. His pet cat, Mrs. Norris, often aids him in his efforts to catch students misbehaving. He is a Squib, a secret he guards due to embarrassment.
