When Margaret possessed her son as a ghost, she decided to end her husband's life, which caused Gabriel to become an orphan, but despite that, Margaret continued to torment him until one day, when he turned 19, he decided to escape as much as he could from her, being adopted by a family, who changed his name to William Chase. Billy lived a long time in peace, studying and becoming a writer in the process. However, Margaret was able to find him and possess him again, in order to continue with her purification of ghostly plague.
