Once he gets shipwrecked, biologist Dr. Edward Prendick is stranded on a remote Pacific island. He discovers that mad scientist Dr. Moreau performs grotesque vivisections to transform animals into human-like "Beast Folk," leading to chaos, violence, and a breakdown of moral order when the creations rebel.
