Kathryn Love Newton (born February 8, 1997) is an American actress. She is known for her starring roles as Louise Brooks in the CBS comedy series Gary Unmarried (2008–2010), Abigail Carlson in the HBO mystery drama series Big Little Lies (2017–2019), and Allie Pressman in the Netflix teen drama series The Society (2019). She is also known for portraying the older versions of Claire Novak in The CW dark fantasy series Supernatural (2014–2018) and Joanie Clark in the AMC period drama series Halt and Catch Fire (2016–2017). Newton has appeared in various films, including Bad Teacher (2011), Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), Blockers (2018), Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019), Freaky (2020), The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023), and Abigail (2024). Based on the comic series, "The Unbelievable Gwenpool" and "Gwenpool Strikes Back." Gwen Poole is an 18-year-old girl who is a big fan of all things Marvel Comics. She hopes to be a comic writer. Comic books are a way for her to escape from the real world where she dropped out of high school, has no job, and her friends are away. Her parents and brother try to help, but none of their efforts work. One day, suddenly, she finds herself actually IN the world of Marvel Comics (It will tie to the Multiverse Saga in the MCU). She believes in a vivid dream where there will be no consequences. She wears a pink and white suit, and does mercenary work for MODOK. Even though she has NO experience or training in fighting. And for fun, she speeds through the streets of New York and reveals heroes' identities. Her foolishness causes her to make enemies with heroes, villains, and even background characters. Overtime, she develops the ability to manipulate comic book physics, like breaking the fourth wall. The show will have scenes that will be live action and ones that will be animated. Almost like "What If...?"
