"Guardians of the Galaxy" follows Peter Quill, an intergalactic thief known as Star-Lord, who stumbles upon an ancient artifact while exploring a distant planet. Unbeknownst to him, the artifact holds unimaginable power, drawing the attention of dangerous forces, including the genocidal warlord Ronan the Accuser and his ruthless ally, Gamora. When Peter attempts to sell the orb, he is arrested alongside a motley group of criminals: Rocket, a genetically enhanced raccoon; Groot, a humanoid tree; and Drax, a warrior fueled by vengeance. Forced to work together to escape prison, they uncover the true nature of the orb—an Infinity Stone capable of mass destruction. With Ronan planning to use it to annihilate planets, the unlikely team must learn to trust one another, stop Ronan’s genocidal ambitions, and become the galaxy’s only hope. In the process, they forge an unexpected bond, realizing they are more than just outlaws—they are a family.
