Ganke Lee[36] is a fictional supporting character in stories featuring Miles Morales / Spider-Man. The character, created by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli, first appeared in Ultimate Comics Spider-Man vol. 2 #2 (Nov. 2011), which was published as part of Marvel Comics' Ultimate Marvel line of books, which are set in a universe and continuity separate from the "mainstream" Marvel Universe. Ganke is a black haired, overweight, Asian-American boy and Miles's classmate,[37] best friend and confidant. After the accident behind Miles's superhuman abilities, Ganke is the first one with whom Miles shares this secret,[38] and is the one who immediately suggests that Miles use these new powers as the new Spider-Man.[37][39][40] When Marvel Comics ended the Ultimate Marvel imprint with the 2015 "Secret Wars" storyline,[41] in which the Marvel Universe was merged with other alternate universes (including the Ultimate Universe),[42][43][44] Molecule Man's efforts transported Miles, Ganke and their respective families and friends to the mainstream universe.[45] Ganke befriends Danika Hart, a YouTuber obsessed with Spider-Man. He acts as an indirect source for Danika, but asks to be called "Ned" rather than use his real name.[46][47]

n 1992, following his mother's murder in a drive-by shooting, CJ returns home to Los Santos to attend her funeral. Upon arriving, he is intercepted by C.R.A.S.H., who threaten to frame him for the recent murder of another police officer (who was actually killed by them for threatening to expose their corruption), unless he co-operates with them. After leaving them, CJ reunites with Sweet, Kendl, Big Smoke, and Ryder at the funeral and agrees to stay and help the Grove Street Families in the war against their rivals, the Ballas. During this time, he also befriends Cesar Vialpando after discovering he genuinely cares for Kendl, and helps OG Loc make a name for himself in the rap industry. Shortly after the Families regain their strength, Sweet makes plans to attack the Ballas in a large fight. Before he can join them, CJ is contacted by Cesar with information on the drive-by shooting, revealing that Big Smoke and Ryder have sold out the gang and arranged the attack alongside C.R.A.S.H. and the Ballas, which was actually meant for Sweet.
