Taron David Egerton (/ˈɛdʒərtən/ EJ-ər-tən; born 10 November 1989) is a Welsh actor and singer. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he performed in stage plays before gaining recognition for his starring role as a spy in the action comedy films Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017). Egerton has starred in several biographical films, portraying military officer Edward Brittain in the drama Testament of Youth (2014), the titular ski-jumper in the sports film Eddie the Eagle (2016), and singer Elton John in the musical Rocketman (2019). The last of these earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. He also starred as Jimmy Keene in the miniseries Black Bird (2022), for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, as Henk Rogers in the biopic Tetris (2023), and in the thriller film Carry-On (2024). An RIPD style series following Green Lantern, Guy Gardner. A snarky, brash, and cocky poultice officer with more violent tendencies than fellow officers and Lanterns. While on a drug bust in his home town of Evergreen City, Guy Gardner’s partner is shot and killed in action, Guy himself is shot and severely wounded, he loses his gun in the chaos but finds a baseball bat lying on the ground nearby, he chased the criminal who shot him and his partner down and nearly beat him to death, only able to function of of the adrenaline and anger that he felt at the moment even though he should have died. The will power that he showed that day caused a green lantern ring choose him. Before he received it though, he was dis honorably discharged for beating the thug so badly, afterward he was getting drunk at a bar and got jumped, getting into a bat brawl when the ring found him. He woke up on Oa and became a Green Lantern- but was despised by all of his peers for his brash, cocky, and violent personality
