Tom Ellis is a Welsh actor. He became known for playing Dr. Oliver Cousins in the BBC soap opera "EastEnders" and Gary Preston in the BBC One sitcom Miranda (2009–2015), then achieved wider recognition for his role as Lucifer Morningstar in the Fox/Netflix urban fantasy series Lucifer (2016–2021) and the Arrowverse franchise crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths" (2019). Other notable roles include Justyn in Channel 4's "No Angels" and Thomas Milligan in the series three finale of the British science-fiction television programme "Doctor Who".

The film opens with a scene of the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic police force sworn to protect the universe from all threats, conducting a training exercise on the planet Oa. Hal Jordan, a cocky and confident test pilot, is chosen to become the latest member of the Corps after finding a power ring that allows him to harness the power of will. Meanwhile, on the distant planet Korugar, Sinestro, a former Green Lantern turned bitter enemy of the Corps, is plotting to take over the universe with an army of his own yellow power ring wielding minions. As Hal begins his training under the guidance of veteran Green Lantern John Stewart, Sinestro makes his move, attacking Oa and stealing a powerful weapon from the Corps' arsenal. Hal and John are tasked with stopping Sinestro and retrieving the weapon. As they face off against Sinestro and his minions, Hal struggles to harness the full power of his ring and control his emotions, while John serves as a mentor and guide. In the end, the two Green Lanterns are able to defeat Sinestro and restore peace to the universe, solidifying their bond as comrades and friends. The film ends with Hal and John standing side by side, looking out at the vast expanse of space as they prepare to defend the universe once again as Green Lanterns. pre-credits shows Hal and John sitting in Hals Apartment when the lights go out and Batman shows up in the middle of his living room as says we need to talk Superman is in a post credit scene.
