Meanwhile, on the distant planet Korugar, Sinestro, a former Green Lantern turned bitter enemy of the Corps, is plotting to take over the universe with an army of his own yellow power ring wielding minions. As Hal begins his training under the guidance of veteran Green Lantern John Stewart, Sinestro makes his move, attacking Oa and stealing a powerful weapon from the Corps' arsenal. Hal and John are tasked with stopping Sinestro and retrieving the weapon. As they face off against Sinestro and his minions, Hal struggles to harness the full power of his ring and control his emotions, while John serves as a mentor and guide.
