John Stewart returned to his military life after a great tragedy happened a year ago, Sinestro, leader of the Yellow Lanterns and former member of the Green Lantern Corps, attacked Oa with the power of Parallax causing the death of many fellow lanterns like his best friend Hal Jordan and his wife Katma Tui so he gave up his life as a hero even though everything was about to change again for John. Although there was no peace in the universe since the Red Lanterns led by Atrocitus wanted to show the power of their Corp by killing the strongest member of the Green Lantern that was left alive: John Stewart, so several Red Lanterns are going to attack John on Earth until he is helped by Martian Manhunter who has been his friend for a long time, although they manage to defeat them, John knew that he had to help with the Red Lanterns so with effort he manages to make his ring return to him, motivated by J'onn, goes to Oa where he finds Kilowog and Tomar-Re alive who have tried to make the planet's central battery shine again to recruit more members, although it seemed that they could barely maintain their willpower, and more so when they return. to attack the Red Lanterns and not one of those members was the former Green Lantern: Guy Gardner who was recruited by the Red Lanterns after the fall of the Green Lanterns.
