Iain Alan Sutherland Glen (born 24 June 1961) is a Scottish actor. Glen is best known for his roles as Dr. Alexander Isaacs/Tyrant in three films of the Resident Evil film series (2004–2016) and as Ser Jorah Mormont in the HBO fantasy television series Game of Thrones (2011–2019). Other notable roles include John Hanning Speke in Mountains of the Moon (1990), Larry Winters in Silent Scream (1990) for which he won the Silver Bear for Best Actor from the Berlin International Film Festival, Manfred Powell in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Brother John in Song for a Raggy Boy (2003), the title role in Jack Taylor (2010–2016), Sir Richard Carlisle in Downton Abbey (2011), James Willett in Eye in the Sky (2015), Bruce Wayne in Titans (2019–2021), Magnus MacMillan in The Rig (2023–present), and Dr. Pete Nichols in Silo (2023–present). After a daring test flight saves American forces, Hal Jordan and his mechanic Tom Kalmaku are honored at a White House ceremony, where President Donald Trump also introduces billionaire Oliver Queen, recently returned from five years stranded abroad. Hal and Oliver form an instant, adventurous bond. Soon after, Hal’s destiny changes: Abin Sur’s dying Green Lantern ring selects him as Earth’s new protector. Hal is thrust into cosmic war, training under Kilowog and Sinestro among the Green Lantern Corps. As Hal struggles with ring mastery, a galactic threat emerges — Starro, a psychic parasite infecting planets and Lanterns alike. Hal’s compassion clashes with Sinestro’s growing arrogance as the Corps battles to contain the plague. Through daring and heart, Hal earns his place, even as Sinestro’s disdain for weakness deepens. On Earth, Tom Kalmaku and Oliver Queen sense Hal’s absence. Meanwhile, the Guardians quietly monitor other Earth candidates, including a soldier named John Stewart and a fiery backup: Guy Gardner. Starro’s defeat leaves lingering dangers. Post Credits: A lone spore streaks unseen toward Earth, heralding future peril.
