Ex-pilot Hal Jordan is bestowed a ring with galactic powers that allow him to become a member of the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic force that represents willpower. There, he must fight an enemy Lantern Corps called the Sinestro Corps, which are led by Sinestro, a former Green Lantern who because of his recklessness for the safety of his fellow Green Lanterns, was kicked out of the Corps.
