Sterling Kelby Brown (born April 5, 1976) is an American actor. Known for his leading roles on stage and screen, he has received numerous accolades, including three Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a nomination for an Academy Award. He was included in Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018. Brown portrayed Christopher Darden in the FXlimited series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story (2016), which earned the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. For his role as Randall Pearson in the NBC drama series This Is Us (2016–2022), he earned the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He was further Emmy-nominated for his comedic roles in the Fox Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2018) and the Amazon Prime comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2019). For his role in American Fiction (2023), he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Brown is also known for his leading roles in films such as Hotel Artemis (2019), Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. (2022), and Biosphere (2023) as well as supporting roles in Marshall (2017), Black Panther (2018), and Waves (2019). 5 years after the events of the first green lantern movie Oa is attacked by a lantern core thought to be gone for millenniums the red lanterns led by a raging beast named Atrocitis who killed hundreds of green lanterns and the guardians including Hal Jordans mentor John Stewart and vowing to kill all Lanterns. When he arrives on earth to kill Hal he puts up a strong fight temporarily weakening him but in a fit of rage the red lantern goes after the person who means most to Hal his fiancée Carol Ferris almost killing her and the hero couldn't do anything until he remembers a story John told him about how the lanterns of love have the power to heal any wounds with their powers so he took her to them leaving her there (Setting up the next movie where she will be the villain Star Saphire) and returns to Atrocitis to fight and luckly he wins just by the skin of his teeth it ends with the new gaurdians of the universe promising the green lantern core will be rebuilt ( post credit scene shows a young ginger finding a ring that then gets called by his friends as they shout "Hey Gardener get your head out of the clouds")
