Anthony Russo (born February 3, 1970) is an American filmmaker with his brother, Joe Russo, collectively known as the Russo brothers (/ˈruːsoʊ/ ROO-soh). They direct most of their work together. They are best known for directing four films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU): Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War(2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). Endgame grossed over $2.798 billion worldwide, briefly becoming the highest-grossing film ever. The brothers have also worked as directors and producers on the comedy series Arrested Development (2003–2005), Community (2009–2014), and Happy Endings (2011–2012). After his cruise ship crashed millionaire Oliver Queen is forced to survive on an island for 5 years. After being saved by a man named Malcolm Merlyn who was flying over the island in his helicopter and saw Oliver's flare. Once Oliver is back in the city he decides to use what he learned on the island to kill all of the corrupt politicians that his father had the names of in his notebook before he died. After a couple of months Oliver manages to make allies such as his ex-girlfriend Dinah Drake who unlocked secret powers after nearly being killed by a mugger. He also gained a sidekick named Roy Harper who he saved from a mercenary named Deadshot who was trying to kill Roy's father. Oliver also made other allies like Helena Bertinelli aka the Huntress who he dated briefly. The movie ends with Oliver discovering Malcolm is the Dark Archer who killed his father and stranded him on that island. Oliver kills Malcolm and the movie closes with Oliver and Roy creating the Arrow Cave.
