Fan Casting Yao Fei in Green Arrow: Legend of the Emerald Archer (1997)

Yao Fei Gulong is a supporting character in Green Arrow: Legend of the Emerald Archer. He is a former Chinese Army general with a long history of regret, forced into exile on Lian Yu after being framed by the Chinese government for a massacre of innocent civilians. While on the island, he begins to train many to fight against the forces of evil, those including the recently shipwrecked Oliver Queen, still reeling from the loss of his father, and the arrogant Arthur King, with Yao Fei acting as a surrogate father figure towards Queen. He is later shown proud of Queen as he defeats the drug runners and frees the natives before finally being rescued and taken back to Star City as a new man.
