Fan Casting Green Arrow in Green Arrow: Legend of the Emerald Archer (1997)

Oliver Jonas Queen, also known as Green Arrow, is the titular main protagonist of Green Arrow: Legend of the Emerald Archer. Oliver is initially the spoilt and reckless billionaire playboy of high-ranking businessman Robert Queen, who after a terrorist attack on his family's yacht, The Queen's Gambit, resulting in the death of his father, washes up on a mysterious island where he is forced to survive by his own wits. He is soon discovered by Yao Fei Gulong, who for 5 years, teaches him advanced combat skills and hand-to-hand fighting. After finishing his training, he discovers a band of drug runners on the island who are abusing the native population, whom he takes them down one by one, freeing the natives from their reign. After this, he is finally found and rescued as he returns to Star City as a changed man, hereby vowing to protect the innocents from evil as the charismatic yet brooding masked vigilante Green Arrow.
