A plastic surgeon Splicer obsessed with perfection. He holds up severed ears and offers them to Jack, asking "Why not be perfect?" His operating room is stained with blood and rot; his waiting area is filled with hideously butchered patients. When Jack mentions Atlas, Steinman freezes in fear and retreats. He is a true believer in Rapture's ethos of self-improvement—twisted into madness.
