Maya Ray Thurman Hawke (born July 8, 1998) is an American actress and singer-songwriter. She is the daughter of Hollywood actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. She began her career in modelling and subsequently made her screen debut as Jo March in the 2017 BBC adaptation of Little Women. Hawke gained recognition for starring as Robin Buckley in the Netflix science fiction series Stranger Things (2019–2025). She appeared in the films Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), Fear Street Part One: 1994 (2021), Do Revenge (2022), Asteroid City (2023), Maestro (2023), and Wildcat (2023), and had a voice role in Inside Out 2 (2024). As a musician, she has released the albums Blush (2020), Moss (2022), and Chaos Angel (2024). Maxine and Miriam, best friends and aspiring filmmakers, have spent their lives looking for the big break amidst hundreds of crappy shot on iPhone projects. Once a film festival arrives they seize the chance to make it big and get out of their small town, only to have to adjust their vision once they realize the presence of a horror legend means the festival prioritizes schlock and blood. Things go smoother once they accept help from charming butcher and effects contributor Tim, but a string of grisly murders makes Maxine suspect Tim to be a vicious bloodsucker.
