Mikey and his family move into their new home in Portland. Zayna, his daughter, quickly discovers a painting of a pirate ship above the fireplace. Mikey studies the painting, and thinks to himself that the ship looks awful familiar. Everyday that Mikey passes the painting of the ship, he notices that it looks as if it is moving closer to the frame. One day Mikey believes he notices water pouring from under the frame. He begins to think that he is going insane, and decides to visit a doctor. Meanwhile, a small pirate ship statue has turned up in the Inferno Emporium store, owned by Brand and Andy, and neither of them remember ordering such a item. Everyday the ship looks realer and realer. Almost to the point that Brand and Andy swear they hear small voices coming from the statue. Similarly, Chunk, Mouth, Stef, and Data also begin to suffer from strange pirate ship type unusualities. The goonies decide to contact one another. They all discover that they are having strange pirate-themed activities occur around them. Mikey believes that it is the ghost of One-Eyed Willy trying to summon the goonies. The rest of the gang is much too mature, and don't believe such nonsense. Mikey takes matters into his own hands. Slowly, him and his daughter are able to break the codes of the many strange occurrences that are occurring around their new Portland home. Mikey figures out that once the Inferno escaped the grotto, that it came back to life; as well did everything on board. One-Eyed Willy is alive and his ship and treasure are in trouble. Blackbeard has returned and will stop at nothing until he has the treasure of One-Eyed Willy. The Goonies must reunite, along with their children, and save their befriended pirate.
