A 90's remake of 'King Kong vs Godzilla' that combines Peter Jackson's original idea for a King Kong remake and the Godzilla vs The Gryphon idea: Filmmaker Carl Denham, while filming in the Arctic, happens across a statue of a strange gorilla-like creature called 'Kong'. Joined by British archeologist Ann Darrow, former soldier Jack Discroll, both of whom were in the area when Denham discovered the statue, Denham enlists Captain Englehorn to take the group to Skull Island to film this legendary creature. At the same time, an organization named the St. George Project tries to find a way to destroy the atomic creature known as Godzilla, whose awakening in the Arctic revealed the statue to Denham. Their plans are nearly ruined when Denham and the others return with the giant ape-like creature Kong, resulting in a battle between Godzilla and Kong. As they battle, a creature known as the Gryphon lands on Earth and begins its own reign of terror as it tries to find and destroy Godzilla. Once Kong escapes, him and Godzilla have another fight, but will soon become reluctant allies once the Gryphon arrives to destroy them both.
