Toho Co., Ltd. (Japanese: 東宝株式会社 | Hepburn: Tōhō Kabushiki gaisha) is a Japanese entertainment company primarily engaged in the production/distribution of films and television shows, and the production/exhibition of stage plays. It has its headquarters in Chiyoda, Tokyo, and is one of the core companies of the Osaka-based Hankyu Hanshin Toho Group. Toho is best known for producing and distributing many of Ishirō Honda and Eiji Tsuburaya's kaiju and tokusatsu films as well as the films of Akira Kurosawa and the anime films of Studio Ghibli, CoMix Wave Films, TMS Entertainment, and OLM, Inc. The company has released the majority of the highest-grossing Japanese films. Toho's most famous creation is Godzilla, who is featured in 32 of the company's films. Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Mechagodzilla are described as Toho's Big Five because of the monsters' numerous appearances throughout the franchise, as well as spin-offs. Toho has also been involved in the production of numerous anime titles. Its subdivisions are Toho-Towa Company, Limited (Japanese exclusive theatrical distributor of Universal Pictures via NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan), Towa Pictures Company Limited (Japanese exclusive theatrical distributor of Paramount Pictures), Toho Pictures Incorporated, Toho International Company Limited, Toho E. B. Company Limited, and Toho Music Corporation & Toho Costume Company Limited. The company is the largest shareholder (7.96%) of Fuji Media Holdings Inc. Toho is one of the four members of the Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan (MPPAJ), is the largest of Japan's Big Four film studios, and is the only film studio that is a component of the Nikkei 225 index.
Birth island is home to the "Chimerans", a tribe of humans who can turn into monsters. but then one day in 1991 a new nuclear bomb is tested on the island unknowing of the existence of the tribe and then after mutates their monster forms into giant monsters. 33 years later, Shin Haken is walking home from work and then suddenly blacks out. She wakes the next day in piles of city ruins with her clothes torn & blood and bullet holes in her. She gets helped by some medics and gets brought to the hospital and put in the ER. Days later, she remembers what happened after she blacked out. She turned into a giant reptilian dinosaur-lizard-thing and shot white atomic breath out of her mouth and destroyed most of her city. Then she is kidnapped by people who turn out to work for a secret government agency known as Zephyr who keep track of how many "Chimerans" are out there. She even finds out that her supposedly dead father works for them. Then she gets mad and turns into what Zephyr calls "Godzilla" again. So, Zephyr sends in Kiryu to fight her and calm her down before she completely destroys New York entirely.
