The Varan || (バラン Baran?) of the Planet of the Monsters continuity was a species of giant monsters that first appeared in the prequel novel, Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse.
The second entry in the Jr. Era. An all-powerful alien race plans to eradicate the Earth with their selection of giant monsters. Godzilla Jr. and Mothra will need Earth's great guardians to come and help in the battle royale of the century!
