Mechagodzilla is a mecha that first appeared in the 1974 film Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla as an extraterrestrial villain opposing Godzilla. In subsequent iterations, it is depicted as a man-made weapon designed to defend Japan from Godzilla. In 2021's Godzilla Vs. Kong a new version a MechaGodzilla is created to exterminate all Titans but is destroyed by Godzilla and King Kong.
Jyn Erso and a group of rebels band together to steal plans from the Death Star, a weapon engineered and built by her father with a secret hole that will leave open destruction of the space station. However, in the middle of a neverending war, there stands the King of the Monsters, Godzilla. The Rebel Alliance and The Galactic Empire fire everything they have at him including the Death Star, leading to a confrontation with Darth Vader.
