Ford Brody, a Navy bomb disposal expert, has just been reunited with his family in San Francisco when he is forced to travel to Japan to help his estranged father, Joe. Soon, the two men are drawn into an escalating crisis when Godzilla, King of the Monsters, emerges from the sea to battle malevolent foes threatening the survival of humanity. The creatures leave a trail of colossal destruction in their wake as they head towards their final battlefield: San Francisco.
