He and Wright co-wrote the films Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), and The World's End (2013), known collectively as the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, all of which saw Wright directing and Pegg starring alongside Nick Frost. Kratos, a Spartan warrior cursed by the gods, embarks on an epic journey of rage and redemption across mythological realms. After years of servitude to Ares, the God of War, Kratos seeks to break free from his chains and exact vengeance upon the deity who destroyed his life. Armed with the Blades of Chaos—twin weapons forged in the depths of the Underworld—he battles through hordes of mythological creatures, gods, and titans. Facing impossible odds and navigating treacherous landscapes inspired by Greek mythology, Kratos must confront his past, his guilt, and his own godly nature. The series evolves to explore themes of fatherhood, legacy, and redemption as Kratos later protects his son Atreus while uncovering secrets about their shared destiny. With visceral combat, puzzle-solving, and a richly detailed world steeped in ancient lore, God of War delivers an unforgettable tale of a warrior's transformation from instrument of vengeance to protector of those he loves.
