Kratos, a Spartan warrior who serves the gods of Olympus after being tricked into killing his own family by Ares, the God of War. He embarks on a quest to kill Ares, who had manipulated him into the act, and to find Pandora's Box to defeat him. This leads Kratos on a brutal journey of vengeance, where he uses the Blades of Chaos to fight his way through mythological Heroes across Time, Monsters and The Gods of Olympus, ultimately becoming the new God of War himself.
