17th November, 1558. After a tumultuous, five year reign that saw uprisings, foreign wars and mass burnings, Queen Mary I of England has died. Moreover, with her disinterested Spanish husband spending as little time in England as possible, Mary has died childless. Her only feasible heir is her despised half-sister, Lady Elizabeth.
