Luke Aaron Benward (born May 12, 1995) is an American actor and singer, best known for his starring role as Bo Larson in Dumplin', Lloy Danderson on CMT's Still the King, Jack in Life of the Party, Dillon on ABC Family's Ravenswood, Beau Landry on Disney Channel's Good Luck Charlie, 14-year-old Alan in Dear John, Charlie Tuttle in the 2008 Disney Channel original movie Minutemen, Billy Forrester in How to Eat Fried Worms, and David Moore in We Were Soldiers. He also played the role of Nicky in Mostly Ghostly: Who Let the Ghosts Out?, and Steven 'Stevie' Dewberry in Because of Winn-Dixie. Gilchrist is a small, oddly familiar town located in a rural area of Massachusetts, home to a tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone. Tough there was nothing particularly interesting about the town, it had a way of not only attracting outsiders to visit, but also keeping people there. Unknownst to residents and visitors, Gilchrist is plagued by sinister creatures that feed on human suffering. To those living in the town, these creatures, often referred to as pansheas, were nothing but an old folktale, something used to scare kids into behaving and coming inside before nightfall. As the story goes, pansheas have the ability to take full control of a person and manipulate them into committing horrendous acts, creating the suffering they desire. Now, in June of 1996, Summer is just beginning. The spirits of kids and adults alike are high as the months of annual Summer festivities arrive. With more tourists visiting town, tragedy is bound to ensue, starting with the recent "accidental" death of the local bookstore owner: Carolina Colbert.
