Seeking vengeance for the death of his brother, Simon Williams, the sinister Grim Reaper launches an assault on Earth's core heroes. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Hulk, and their newest recruit, Hawkeye, unite to suppress the grieving villain. Just as the Avengers break the Reaper's defenses, the roar of an engine cuts through the battlefield. Danny Ketch speeds into the fray on a flaming motorcycle, unleashing a fury of hellfire that instantly incinerates Grim Reaper into ash. Steve Rogers steps forward, sternly rebuking the vigilante, declaring that the Avengers do not kill enemies. Emblazoning into his demonic form, Ketch raises a glowing chain and rasps, "I am not here for him. I am here for you." An unimaginable slaughter ensues. Thor spins Mjolnir, charging with blinding lightning, but Danny effortlessly dodges, hooks the hammer with his chain, and grabs Thor by his neck, reducing the Asgardian to cinders. Panic grips the remaining Avengers as they desperately combine forces. One by one, Earth's protectors fall. Tony is snared out of the sky and vaporized. Captain America throws himself in front of a black to shield Hawkeye, perishing in the flames. Black Panther uses his agility to evade the onslaught, but the chain eventually catches him. The Hulk roars in agony, fighting the heat for a brief moment before dissolving. Left entirely alone, Hawkeye refuses to retreat. He draws his bow, but Danny slashes him. A sudden POV shift rips Hawkeye across dimensions, dropping him into the barren waste of Hell. To his shock, he finds the entire team and the Grim Reaper there. Thor warns him that their souls are now prisoners of Mephisto. The demon reveals his endgame: mortal souls with hope and faith are impossible to corrupt. so, he ordered Ketch to eliminate the heroes to shatter their spirit. Meanwhile, Johnny Blaze ventures to help the Avengers and then helps them battle Danny Ketch and Mephisto's demons. All escaping.
